How Yoga Has Improved My Life
I’m never going to wake up earlier than I have to, to squeeze in the exercise of the day. I take that back — I’ll wake up at least a half hour before class to squeeze in my morning yoga session.
I’ve always admired people who did yoga and never thought I could do it myself, let alone learn how to do yoga alone, in my house! Now every morning I wake up excited to get my day started. Even if I do a quick 20-minute yoga flow my day has already improved. It wakes me up, stretches my entire body, and gets me ready for my day.
I dedicate this time to me, for my self-improvement: mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. If you love a good challenge then I definitely suggest you give yoga a chance! It challenges your body, mind, and your inner strength in ways that are out of this world. Not to mention all the health benefits it has — yoga improves your flexibility, respiration, and your level of energy. It maintains a balanced metabolism, protects you from injuries and it’s good for cardio and cardiovascular health, to mention a few.
Yoga has helped me connect my body and mind. I have more patience, it slows down my thinking process, and it has opened my eyes to a whole new world.
As a friend of mine says, “It has helped me create a way of thinking that makes me feel fulfilled every day and I think that is pretty amazing and unique.”
Yoga has improved my quality of life and now I can’t imagine a day where I don’t take at least 20 minutes to focus on myself, my body, and my mind.
